✨ Introduction for Children:

Sometimes we think that the biggest 💪, strongest 🏋️, or best-looking 😊 people are the best, but did you know that God does not think that way? God looks at something very special that no one can see with their eyes 👀: the heart ❤️.

Today we will learn this through the story of David 🐑, a young shepherd who became king 👑.

📚 The Story of David:

There was a prophet named Samuel 👴📖. God told him to go to the house of Jesse 🏠 because one of his sons would be the new king 👑.

Jesse brought his sons one by one:

• They were tall 📏

• They were strong 💪

• They looked important ⭐

Samuel thought 💭:

“Surely this is the one God wants,”

but God told him something very important ❤️:

“Do not look at his appearance or his height… I look at the heart.”

After seeing all the sons, Samuel asked ❓:

—Do you have any other sons?

Jesse answered 👨‍👦:

—Yes, the youngest one… David, but he is taking care of the sheep 🐑.

When David arrived 🚶‍♂️, God said ✨:

“This is the one,”

and David was chosen by God to be king 👑.

🧠 What Do We Learn From This Story?

1️⃣ God does not focus on how big or strong you are

David was small 🤏 and did not seem important, but God chose him ❤️.

Maybe you are not the tallest in your class 📏 or the fastest 🏃‍♂️, but God loves you and sees you 👀❤️.

2️⃣ God looks at what your heart is like ❤️

God saw that David had an obedient heart 🙏 and that he loved God ❤️.

3️⃣ We should not judge others by how they look 🚫👀

Sometimes we think someone is not good because they are different 🌍, but God teaches us to love ❤️.

Even if you are small 🤏, God can use you to do good things:

“Lord, take care of my heart.” ❤️
