Kids Kingdom Yeshua Story: “David’s Brave Heart”
Theme: Confidence Through God
In a small village, there lived a young boy named Eli. Eli was kind, loved God, and always helped others. But there was one problem…
Eli didn’t believe he was good enough.
At school, when the teacher asked for volunteers, Eli looked down.
When kids played sports, Eli said, “I’m not strong like them.”
When it was time to pray out loud, he whispered, “I can’t do it.”
One day, Eli’s grandpa told him a story from the Bible.
📖
The Story of David
Grandpa said,
“Do you know about David and Goliath?”
Eli nodded a little.
“There was a giant named Goliath. He was big, strong, and scary. All the soldiers were afraid. But a young shepherd boy named David said…”
📖
Bible Verse
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” — Psalm 27:1
David wasn’t confident in himself —
He was confident in GOD.
David said:
📖
Bible Verse
“The battle is the Lord’s.” — 1 Samuel 17:47
He trusted that God would help him. And guess what?
David won — not because he was the biggest…
but because he trusted God.
💡 Grandpa’s Lesson
Grandpa looked at Eli and said:
“Confidence doesn’t mean thinking ‘I’m the best.’
It means believing: ‘God is with me.’”
📖
Bible Verse
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” — Philippians 4:13
Eli thought about it. Maybe he didn’t have to be the strongest…
Maybe he just needed to trust God.
🏫
Real-Life Situation #1 – School
The next day at school, the teacher asked,
“Who wants to read out loud?”
Eli’s heart beat fast.
But he remembered:
📖 “Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God is with you.” — Joshua 1:9
Eli raised his hand. His voice shook at first…
but he did it! And he felt proud.
⚽
Real-Life Situation #2 – Trying Something New
At recess, kids were playing soccer.
Eli wanted to play but felt nervous.
He whispered:
📖 “When I am afraid, I will trust in You.” — Psalm 56:3
He joined the game. He didn’t score a goal…
but he had fun — and wasn’t afraid anymore.
That’s confidence growing! 🌱
🙏
Real-Life Situation #3 – Praying
That night, Eli prayed out loud for the first time.
“God, help me be brave like David.”
He felt warm inside. Not because he was perfect —
but because God was with him.
