The Garden of Respect 🪓

The Garden of Respect

In a bright village not far from the hills of Galilee, there lived a group of children who loved to play together every day. Their favorite place was a small garden filled with flowers, trees, and birds singing songs to God.

Before they played, an elder in the village would gently remind them:

šŸ“– ā€œShow proper respect to everyone.ā€ — 1 Peter 2:17

The children learned that respect means treating others the way God wants us to treat them—with kindness, listening ears, and loving hearts.

šŸ‘Øā€šŸ‘©ā€šŸ‘§ā€šŸ‘¦ Respecting Parents and Leaders

One day, a boy named Eli wanted to keep playing instead of listening when his mother called him home. His friend Miriam softly reminded him:

šŸ“– ā€œChildren, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.ā€ — Ephesians 6:1

Eli stopped, smiled, and said,

ā€œRespecting my mom makes God happy.ā€

When he obeyed, he felt peace in his heart—and the next day, he was allowed extra time to play.

šŸ§’ Respecting One Another

Another day, two friends wanted the same toy. Voices got louder, and feelings were hurt. Just then, little Noah remembered what he learned and said:

šŸ“– ā€œDo to others as you would have them do to you.ā€ — Luke 6:31

The children paused, took turns, and said sorry. Joy returned to the garden.

They learned that respect builds friendship.

šŸ—£ļø Respecting With Our Words

Sometimes, words can hurt more than actions. When one child teased another, the group remembered this truth:

šŸ“– ā€œLet your conversation be always full of grace.ā€ — Colossians 4:6

They chose kind words instead. Smiles replaced sadness.

āø»

ā¤ļø Respecting Everyone

At the end of the day, the elder gathered the children and said,

ā€œYeshua teaches us to love and respect everyone.ā€

Then he shared this verse:

šŸ“– ā€œLove your neighbor as yourself.ā€ — Mark 12:31

The children looked at one another and understood—every person matters to God.

✨ What the Children Learned

The children of the garden learned that:

• Respect honors God

• Respect shows love

• Respect brings peace

• Respect makes Yeshua smile

And they remembered this promise:

šŸ“– ā€œThe Lord delights in those who fear Him.ā€ — Psalm 147:11
